Derrick Henry
Derrick Henry Not in line to play vs. Cowboys
Wed, Aug 13, 2025, 3:16 PM
Henry is among the key Ravens players not slated to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Henry, who also didn't play in last Thursday's preseason opener, is no lock to see any action in the Ravens' Aug. 23 preseason finale, either. Ahead of Week 1, he's entrenched as a high-volume No. 1 option in a backfield that also includes Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell and Rasheen Ali.
Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson Not slated to play Saturday
Wed, Aug 13, 2025, 3:10 PM
Jackson is not in line to play in Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Per Hensley, the same goes for RB Derrick Henry, as well as other front-line starters who (like Jackson and Henry) didn't play in last Thursday's preseason opener. It remains to be seen if Jackson will see any snaps in Baltimore's Aug. 23 preseason finale against the Commanders, but even if he does, it likely won't be many, as the team's priority is understandably keeping the star QB healthy ahead of Week 1.
Keaton Mitchell
Keaton Mitchell Misses Monday's practice
Mon, Aug 11, 2025, 6:25 PM
Mitchell (undisclosed) did not participate in Monday's training camp practice, Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Analysis: Mitchell hasn't practiced since the Ravens' preseason win over the Colts on Thursday, when he rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown on nine carries. The nature and severity of Mitchell's injury isn't clear, but he would be in jeopardy of missing Saturday's exhibition contest against the Cowboys were he not to return to practice. With Mitchell, Rasheen Ali (undisclosed) and Marcus Major (concussion) all sidelined, D'Ernest Johnson and Myles Gaskin will compete for RB3 reps behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill.
Myles Gaskin
Myles Gaskin Signs with Baltimore
Sat, Aug 9, 2025, 6:59 PM
The Ravens are slated to sign Gaskin to a contract after he tried out with the team Saturday, Glenn Erby of USA Today reports.
Analysis: Gaskin figures to provide Baltimore with some depth at running back during training camp, with all of Keaton Mitchell (undisclosed), Rasheen Ali (undisclosed) and Marcus Major (concussion) dealing with injury. The Ravens have a deep backfield behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill, however, making a path for Gaskin to a spot on the regular-season roster difficult to imagine.
Keaton Mitchell
Keaton Mitchell Not practicing Saturday
Sat, Aug 9, 2025, 12:46 PM
Mitchell (undisclosed) is not participating in Saturday's training camp practice, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: It could just be a maintenance day for Mitchell, who got an extended run during the Ravens' preseason game against the Colts on Thursday and finished with 68 rushing yards and a touchdown on nine carries. His practice participation over the coming week will be worth monitoring as the Ravens prepare for their next exhibition game against the Cowboys on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Rasheen Ali
Rasheen Ali Dealing with injury
Thu, Aug 7, 2025, 10:06 PM
Ali suffered an undisclosed injury during Thursday's preseason game against the Colts, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Analysis: Ali picked up 37 yards and a touchdown on nine carries in the contest, but he worked in behind Keaton Mitchell. That suggests he currently sits fourth on the running back depth chart in Baltimore, placing him on the roster bubble. The nature of the injury is unclear, but head coach John Harbaugh suggested the Ravens may need to add depth at running back, hinting at the possibility of Ali missing additional time.
Rasheen Ali
Rasheen Ali Rotates in behind Keaton Mitchell
Thu, Aug 7, 2025, 8:38 PM
Ali took nine carries for 37 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game against Indianapolis.
Analysis: The stat line looks good, but Keaton Mitchell got the start and put up a 9-68-1 rushing line, taking five carries to Ali's one over the first two drives while second-string QB Cooper Rush was still in the game. Ali then got more work with the third unit, reinforcing the notion that he's stuck behind Derrick Henry, Justice Hill and Mitchell on Baltimore's depth chart. The Ravens may still try to keep Ali around, either on the roster or practice squad, considering Mitchell and Hill both weigh less than 200 pounds.
Cooper Rush
Cooper Rush Throws pick on first pass
Thu, Aug 7, 2025, 8:34 PM
Rush completed two of four passes for 16 yards, with an interception, in Thursday's preseason game against Indianapolis.
Analysis: Rush got the start, leading the second-string offense, and threw an ugly interception on the second snap of the game. The Ravens then scored a touchdown on his second and final drive, although Rush didn't do much besides hand the ball to RB Keaton Mitchell. Rush's contract and track record put him safely in the No. 2 QB role for Baltimore, preseason miscues aside.
Keaton Mitchell
Keaton Mitchell Rumbles for 68 and a TD
Thu, Aug 7, 2025, 8:31 PM
Mitchell took nine carries for 68 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game against the Colts.
Analysis: With Derrick Henry and Justice Hill resting, Mitchell got the start and the first carry. He then went wild on Baltimore's second drive, starting it with a 25-yard kickoff return before taking carries of 5, 2, 23 and 22 (TD) yards. Rasheen Ali mixed in for one carry on the drive, and later scored a TD of his own, but both the rotation and the caliber of Mitchell's performance suggest he's safely ahead of Ali. The question now is whether Mitchell will chip away at some of the snaps that went to Hill (or even Henry) in 2024.
Devontez Walker
Devontez Walker Looks good in joint practice
Thu, Aug 7, 2025, 8:26 AM
Walker made some impressive catches with the second-string offense during Tuesday's joint practice with the Colts, Giana Han and Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Banner report.
Analysis: After missing a few days with a soft-tissue injury, Walker is back in action and continuing his push for a depth role. Reports out of Baltimore camp suggest the 2024 fourth-round pick is having a nice summer, although he'll still have a hard time moving any higher than fourth on the depth chart before Week 1 -- behind Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and DeAndre Hopkins.
Derrick Henry
Derrick Henry Not playing Thursday
Tue, Aug 5, 2025, 3:09 PM
Henry and other key starters won't play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Colts, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Henry didn't play at all last preseason and probably won't make an appearance this year. He's stayed healthy through the offseason program and the first two weeks of training camp, after signing a two-year, $30 million extension in May.
Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson Won't play Thursday
Tue, Aug 5, 2025, 3:08 PM
Jackson and other key starters won't play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Colts, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Jackson didn't play at all last preseason and likely won't stay in for long if he does start the second or third exhibition. There's been no report of any health issues or missed practice time this summer, but TE Isaiah Likely (foot) hasn't been so fortunate and may miss the regular-season opener at Buffalo.
Devontez Walker
Devontez Walker Returns to practice
Sun, Aug 3, 2025, 2:04 PM
Walker (undisclosed) is practicing Sunday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Walker was held out of practice Saturday with what was deemed a soft-tissue injury, but the issue appears to have been minor. That's great news for Walker, who has had a good camp so far and is pushing for Baltimore's No. 4 wideout role behind Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman and DeAndre Hopkins. While Walker is in uniform Sunday, he's working off to the side and not taking part in team drills, per Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun, so he may need another day or two to get back to full participation.
D'Ernest Johnson
D'Ernest Johnson Bound for Baltimore
Sun, Aug 3, 2025, 12:23 PM
The Ravens signed Johnson on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Analysis: Johnson has six years of NFL experience on his resume, with his best campaign coming in 2021 when he logged 534 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 100 carries during the regular season with Cleveland. He provided depth at RB for the Jaguars last year, recording 143 yards on 32 carries and 96 receiving yards on 12 catches over 14 contests. Johnson also has experience as a kick returner, which can only help his chances of making Baltimore's final roster. Johnson's signing was precipitated by the absence of Marcus Major, who is dealing with a concussion.
Devontez Walker
Devontez Walker Dealing with soft-tissue injury
Sat, Aug 2, 2025, 3:39 PM
Walker didn't practice Saturday due to a soft-tissue injury, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Walker has had a strong training camp and has emerged as a leading candidate to open the campaign as Baltimore's No. 4 receiver. It's not yet clear if he'll need to miss additional practices, but head coach John Harbaugh said Saturday that the wideout has put on "a lot of mileage" in camp, per Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun. Walker played in nine regular-season games as a rookie last year, recording one catch for a 21-yard touchdown while also contributing on special teams.
Zay Flowers
Zay Flowers Back at practice
Sat, Aug 2, 2025, 12:32 PM
Flowers (undisclosed) returned to practice Saturday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Flowers missed the last two days of practice while working through an unspecified injury, but it doesn't appear to be a serious issue, as he was seen back on the field for Saturday's training camp practice. Flowers enjoyed a productive sophomore campaign and finished the 2024 regular season with 74 catches (on 116 targets) for 1,059 yards and four touchdowns in 17 games, but he missed both of the Ravens' playoff games due to a right knee sprain that he suffered in Week 18. The 2023 first-rounder will lead the Ravens wide receiver corps that also includes Rashod Bateman, DeAndre Hopkins, Devontez Walker and Tylan Wallace.
Keaton Mitchell
Keaton Mitchell Looking explosive at camp
Wed, Jul 30, 2025, 7:22 PM
Mitchell has looked like one of the most explosive players on the field early on at Ravens training camp, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Banner reports.
Analysis: Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken said Mitchell would be "fighting for touches" as Baltimore's RB3 behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill, but if Mitchell is able to get back to the form he showed as a rookie, then there's a chance he could start to push Hill for playing time and touches. Mitchell was electric with the ball in his hands as a 2023 rookie, posting a 47-396-2 rushing line, averaging an otherworldly 8.4 yards per carry. If Henry ever went down with an injury, Mitchell would be a must-add in fantasy football. He's worth a late-round pick in best-ball formats.
Zay Flowers
Zay Flowers Has minor undisclosed injury
Wed, Jul 30, 2025, 2:53 PM
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that Flowers (undisclosed) did not practice due to a "camp thing" and is only expected to miss a few days, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Analysis: Flowers doesn't appear to be dealing with any sort of serious injury, and it's not as though he or the rest of Baltimore's starters will likely be in any consideration to suit up for next Thursday's preseason opener against the Colts. The 2023 first-round pick missed both the Ravens' playoff games last season due to a right knee sprain suffered Week 18, but he was back on the field as early as OTAs in May. Until Flowers is back at practice, increased first-team reps behind Rashod Bateman and DeAndre Hopkins should be available for Devontez Walker and Tylan Wallace.
Isaiah Likely
Isaiah Likely Needs surgery, could make Week 1
Wed, Jul 30, 2025, 8:53 AM
Likely (foot/ankle) will undergo surgery this week to address a broken bone in his foot sustained during Tuesday's practice, and he is expected to face a six-week recovery timetable, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Analysis: Likely has avoided a long-term injury, but his expected recovery timetable will brush up closely against Week 1, with the Ravens set to open the regular season on the road against Buffalo on Sept. 7. In the meantime, Mark Andrews will continue to operate as the Ravens' top tight end, with the potential to handle a higher allotment of snaps early in the season. As he enters Year 4, Likely boasts enough familiarity with Baltimore's offensive scheme to downplay the severity of having to miss the majority of training camp, but it's possible he could have to be ramped up early in 2025 even if he's cleared to suit up Week 1.
Isaiah Likely
Isaiah Likely Injures ankle, out a few weeks
Tue, Jul 29, 2025, 2:44 PM
Coach John Harbaugh said Likely rolled his left ankle at Tuesday's practice and may miss "a few weeks," Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis: Likely sustained the injury on a 1-on-1 rep with safety Sanoussi Kane, after which he couldn't put much weight on his left leg and needed a cart to leave the field. Ultimately, Likely will undergo an MRI on Wednesday, which will determine his prognosis. For as long as Likely as sidelined, Mark Andrews will handle his usual allotment of first-team work, while Charlie Kolar, Zaire Mitchell-Paden and Sam Pitz will be the candidates for TE reps beyond the long-time Raven.
